Sep 10th We are back from the Montreal Tattoo Convention. Thanks to Pascal and Pierre for another great show and yet another reason to visit Montreal. With a variety of entertainment such as the traditional Tahitian dancing, belly dancing, traditional Japanese tattooing which can all be viewed on the Montreal page, made for some great entertainment and excellent video material for Tattoos.com to share with our viewers.
August 26th - The Calgary and Edmonton conventions were amazing! Checkout pics/vids now! The Alberta Bound Tattoo and Arts Festivals were great weekends! Thank-you to all the artists in which we had the pleasure of interviewing. Special thanks to Steve Peace, his adorable wife Lindsay, Ken and the whole Alberta Bound crew for making us feel so welcome and for creating a unique and professional tattoo experience.

Hailin Fu of China, and Joen Johns from the US had a great time as guest artists sharing the booth with us and Bob Tyrrell. Special thanks to Alberta Bound productions and Steve and Lindsay peace who hosted a great BBQ at their place between shows. July 16th - Tattoo Artist and visionary Kurt Wiscombe and Alex Adams open the Skull and Bones Gallery in Winnipeg on Portage Ave. to display their amazing talent and hard work. "The space next store to the shop was perfect" Kurt says, "But someone was always there. So when it finally became available, we grabbed it up". We were there for the opening party. Reinventing the wheel: The tattoo machine goes pneumatic
"Carson Hill is the inventor and developer of the first mass produced pneumatic tattoo machine, operated on air, not electrical motors or coils. For thousands of years tattooing was done by hand around the world, it's meaning and method varied across the globe. Electrical coil machine tattooing at the turn of the twentieth century brought the craft of tattooing to the modern day , indeed many well respected tattooists are of the opinion that electric tattooing was the catalyst that brought tattooing to evolve from a craft to a contemporary artform."
